Girl Noticed a nationwide mural project building and maintaining a world better informed about the positive impact the simple act of “Noticing” a girl has.
Girl Noticed makes the bold statement that it is a communities responsibility to yield to the greatness in every girl.
The Town of Indian Head’s Councilman Curtis Smith is doing just that. Rolling up his sleeves and taking a stand for girls and women, he assures his community is impacted in a positive and inspiring way.
Stay tuned for workshop and event information.

Girl Noticed
A series of detailed photorealistic charcoal portraits created as large exterior murals by artist Lori Pratico depicting a diverse group of girls and women of all ages. Each mural will depict one individual in charcoal which will fade away over time. Depending on weather conditions, murals can last days, weeks or months. This representing the intention of the project, which is: “If gone unnoticed, all what was there may fade away, disappear, and never be seen.”
